It was totally awesome!!!!!!

baby lost

when mum was pregnant we were all very excited about having a new brother or sister and son or daughter, but sadly, we lost the poor little thing at 8 weeks. so we had a little funeral, gathering type-thing and we all cried hard out (especially faith). we put it in a container and dug it into the ground.

A Catch-up

It’s been a while since we properly updated Neihana’s blog with what he’s been up to. He’s been busy since we got back from Christchurch with lots happening at school. While he was away he was voted onto the Student Council, so he’s been pretty busy helping out at different things at school, like the disco and helping with clean-ups.

Hockey season has started again for the year and Neihana is enjoying being part of his school’s team again. He especially loves the new stick Uncle Aaron bought for him. He played his first game with it last week and scored the only goal for his team, bringing the score to a tie. He was very proud.

Things have been pretty quiet around home the weather turning colder and Mum and Dad have been sick, so a new Xbox 360 has been a big hit. Neihana spent some of his birthday money on new Xbox games and has been having lots of fun playing them.

My Birthday

For my 11th birthday I had a sleepover weekend with my two best friends.

We played Guitar Hero. It was my first time playing it and it took me a while to get used to it, but it’s a really cool game and we had a lot of fun. My friend Dillan plays it a lot so he’s really good at it.

After that we had Singstar battles. We took turns singing two at a time and at the end of the song the loser of the battle had to take a dare out of the bowl and do it. Some of them were really funny.

Faith had to cry like a baby, and do the splits, and pretend to be a fish.
Dillan had to lick his own foot, and lick the carpet.
Jason had to try and put his feet behind his head.
Dad had to finish every sentence with “because I love you” for 30 minutes.
Shane had to dance like a ballerina.
I had to walk into a wall.
Mum didn’t have to do any dares because no one beat her!

My birthday was a lot of fun, and I got some really cool presents. I got a new cellphone from Mum and Dad and Uncle Aaron bought me a new hockey stick. Dillan gave me a joke book and a Killzone game for PS2. I also got $45 in birthday money from Grandad, Aunty Karla, Jason, and Nana & Pete.

In the News {Homework}

Every week as part of his homework Neihana has to report on current news. Here is this week’s news presentations:

Sonny Bill Williams' best is yet to come!

People are saying Sonny Bill’s best is yet to come in the next chiefs game. They say its a show worth watching. He has looked more threatening than ever, so apparently, he will be a death machine! People say he is a good influence to children even though he does boxing. He is a unselfish player.
I think he is going to smash every one.

Gecko Smugglers

A German tourist came down to Dunedin peninsula and secretly hunted some geckos and tried to smuggle them all the way back to Germany with him. He is named Andreas Hahn which has to suffer either 6 months in jail or a 100,000 dollar fine, the judge is still deciding on which one he should choose as a punishment. Geckos sell for 8,000 each and he got four, you do the math!

In the News {Homework}

Angry Birds Bears

Somehow a male bear escaped a gigantic jungle and ended up in a University in Colorado, America, which was coincidentally called Bear Creek. The bear weighed 91kg (200 pounds) and it was there for 21/2 hours. A women named Rhona Chestnutt was pushing coins into a parking meter when she felt shaggy fur brush across her leg and thought it was a large dog. But once she saw his face she realized it was a black bear. All of a sudden it sped off and scattered up a tree, where it got tranquilized. It fell on a soft mat that animal control carefully placed out at the correct spot.                                                              It eventually got freed back into the wild.
I think that it would be weird seeing a bear falling out of a tree hopelessly.

The Scream

At an auction in New York the second most famous painting in the world (first is mona lisa) The scream was sold  for 148.5 million dollars to an unkown caller. The bidding started off at around 80.m and in only 15 mins it shot up to 148.5.m. Suddenly, the room erupted in applause and cheering.

Family Day

Today the weather was awesome, so the whole family went for a walk to the park. Here are some photos from our day.
